Need for these cross-brand models

Suzuki’s vehicles have a certain feel, and you know whether a vehicle is from the company or not, but just looking at it. But not this time, as behind the badge of the new vehicle sits the Corolla Touring Sports. The two companies formed an industrial partnership in 2019, and the RAV4-based Suzuki Across was the first product of that partnership.

Now, you might be thinking about what we wondered in the beginning as well, why there is a need for these cross-brand models. Well, here, Suzuki can benefit from reduced average CO2 in Europe. The new vehicle’s CO2 emission is 99g/km. where Toyota is growing its sphere of influence. But, unlike the Swace, it will be slightly restyled.

Toyota also has such a kind of partnership with Subaru, for a good time, and we can see such kind of partnerships and collaboration in the future, as rising development costs and emission targets are affecting profit margins.

As you can assume easily, the Swace doesn’t give any surprise when it’s driven, but it does look handsome on its 16in wheels and there is no chintzy exterior. If you look at its price, you will say that it’s generously equipped. There is a heated steering wheel, wireless phone charging, electric tailgate, and reversing camera, as standards. You also get a smart and comfortable cabin, but the option you get for the seat upholstery is fabric. The smartphone mirroring is provided as a standard, which you will need for navigation apps.

As for the driving experience, you can surprise yourself, if you set the expectations low. We don’t know who tuned the suspension, but whoever it is, knows the true meaning of ride quality. It’s a very basic car, so if you are looking for a simple car for day-to-day work, this is a good option.
